What size refugium per size tank?

Hello ,

I have a 110g extra high that i want to set up reef. I was wondering how many gallons should my refugium be. I have currently a 24x12x10.5 and was wondering if i should go bigger? Any info would be great.

Thanks

Most will say a fuge should be a minimum of 10% your tank volume and more than that is better

Reefrunner, does that 10% mean just the part where the algae goes? or the whole unit itself? I bought one and i'm concerned that it may be too small. What do you think?

The 10 percent means that if you have a 100g tank, you should have a 10g fuge, total volume.
