Asian mini-biotope #1 - Aquarium Advice

40 gallon
Showcase fish...
affin..Betta Pugnax species:Pi (4-5 inches..I have one at 14cm),Bottom dwelling mouth brooder.
pop: 7 (3M 4F. One pair different capture age and unrelated)
communal and calm fish, slightly shy.

Malaysian lizard loaches
pop:3

Khuli loaches
pop:5

Sand substrates with some patches of gravel and a few river stones randomly placed
Foreground and attached to decorations: Java moss, randomly placed cryptocornes and a patch of floating plant, preferably a water hyacinth of some sort.
The fish like cover but nest on sand under things.
First stage is getting set up in a 20 long.
There will be 2 proaquatic thermal internal filters hidden behind decorations with rain bars installed to control flow (they like steady slow current)

Oh, tropical huh? Did you buy a heater? Auuugh!" Mega-pet stores prolly should not be allowed to sell animals as retail "items".
