First off, how large are these oscars, and do you plan on getting them a larger tank in thr future? 2 oscars would need atleast a 75 gallon tank to live happily and healthy. How long has it been since you did a water change, and how often do you do them? With something as messy as an oscar, and a tank that little, I would imagine weekly water changes would be neccesary to maintain a healthy tank.

The spot could be from many things. When did you first notice the mark?

First of all, Welcome to AA!
It could be the other Oscar is biting it when you're not watching or could be some type of disease.
That tank is way too small for them as Devilish said. It's okay for when they're still young but you will need good filtration and keep up with water changes. If you plan on keeping them to adulthood, you will need at least a 75 [acronym:b45c4c1ad1="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:b45c4c1ad1] but I'd recommend actually a little bigger, a 90 [acronym:b45c4c1ad1="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:b45c4c1ad1] would be good.

Naw, [acronym:69b61a1be2="In my opinion"]IMO[/acronym:69b61a1be2] happily starts at 100 for two "Adult" O's and then it is still a matter for them to decide whether they'll get along peaceably.

Can you get a picture?
Does he dig alot? Obsessive digging can rub raw spots on fish, especially if gravel is rough edged and coarse. If its from digging/gravel type then you'll need to change substrates, either fine smooth gravel or sand is preferred.
Staying up late one night and watch for aggression you may be missing is a idea.

Do you have all the basic water chemistry test, [acronym:eb06b87d90="Ammonia"]NH3[/acronym:eb06b87d90], [acronym:eb06b87d90="Nitrite"]NO2[/acronym:eb06b87d90], [acronym:eb06b87d90="Nitrate"]NO3[/acronym:eb06b87d90] and [acronym:eb06b87d90="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]PH[/acronym:eb06b87d90]?
If so, what are your exact test results/
How often do you vacumn gravel and [acronym:eb06b87d90="Partial water change"]PWC[/acronym:eb06b87d90]?

Listen to the rest of the post about tank size requirements, you are going to be severly overstocked, very quickly as these "Little" guys grow into "Big" guys . Extremely messy eaters/poopers
