bringing fish over the border

I live in southern ontario in a border town, I went to a fish store in Port Huron Michigan and i saw alot of fish i have wanted. They had clown plecos for 4 bucks... much better that the so bucks at my LFS. I am just wondering if it is legal to bring them over the border.

Yes, so long as you do not do so with any CITES species (such as Arapaima, giant clams, certain corals, etc), unless you first obtain permits.
