Hi everyone
New to this site just replaced our Marineland to a AquaClear and guy recommended Amonia Remover insert my question do we put that between the carbon and Biomass insert?
Thanks Danielle gofishgo!!

Have you figured out why you have an ammonia spike? You can use Prime to protect your fishes from ammonia poisoning until you resolve the situation and get the ammonia back down to zero.

Changing out a filter, won't change the water chemistry. You need to perform a large water change to dilute the nitrogen in the water. Hopefully, you've properly cycled the tank or your fish are in real trouble.

Danielle, when you switched to the new filter did you use the biomedia from the old filter?

All due respect, but the comment "Changing out a filter wont change the water chemistry" is scientifically false. The overwhelming majority of your nitrifying bacteria reside in the filter media due to the oxygen rich envoronment. When you remove the majority of your beneficial bacteria...it has direct impact on the water chemistry.
