Puffers in Toronto

Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a green spotted pufferfish in the Toronto area, but can't locate a retailer. Does anyone know of one in the area?

Thanks,
Krystal

Thanks for the welcome!

No, I haven't, but it's a good idea.

I heard about Pet Smart.
My BF is from Toronto and he told me that he saw puffer fish there...

I wouldn't buy any puffer fish from pet-smart, puffers are sensitive enough without being in the poor care of pet-smart. Any puffer from a store like that probably wouldn't last too long.

As for GSPs, read this article before you commit to something you can't care for.

The Petsmart at Laird and Eglinton has a few 'dwarves' in their fresh water system. I think they are green puffers though and can be acclimatised. Nice staff, actually. Much friendlier than at Big Als on Kennedy. Jeff

Send a message via Yahoo to Pufferpunk
The only puffers I've ever seen at Petsmart were FW dwarf puffers. There are quite a few folks from Canada at this website, maybe you could ask there: http://puffer.proboards2.com/index.c...num=1086103674

Try one of the Big Als locations. There are two in Toronto and one in Mississauga.

Try this site for phone numbers...call them

There is PJ Pet Store at Yorkdale Mall...but I'd rather buy fish at Big Als.
