From Toronto, Exchange fish - Aquarium Advice

Hi.. anyone listening on this forum

I am from Toronto, GTA. Would love to get into discussion of good bad places to shop for fish stuff... or fish practices here, or even exchange fish. I am into livebearers and raising those fry... pretty soon I am thinking of trying to breed my betta...

I am considering the same thing I have 2 male 3 female betas but the hastle of raising fry is putting me off.

Not sure what is available in the GTA, really hard to find small [acronym:7834714c5d="Local Fish Store"]lfs[/acronym:7834714c5d] that still exist and have have live stock. Bad trend I am seeing is pet-shops opening locally that only sell food and supplies, mostly for cats&dogs, with a small area for aquariums.

Only places that carry lot of stock seem to be pet$mart and the bigAl's, or on-line.

I love Big Al's, its the best store! I hate petcetera though (not sure if they have one in TO)

I'm about 18 Hours East of TO. know exactly what you mean by Pet shops only selling food and supplies, I was into the betta thing it was a cool experience I ended up letting the fry go to some white clouds.
