Apparently I was using rainwater and and soaking media bags full of peat in the buckets before use.

I just added cyperus helferi, juncus repens, staurogyne bihar, stargrass, guppygrass, dwarf chain sword and staurogyne repens.

Nice gillie! Who says apistos don't appreciate a planted tank?!?!? In your experience, when the female is seldom seen and the male stays close to the opening of a cave?? Baby time??
