A Flurry of Fishies

Well, we got in a big bag of Megalechis at the shop Monday....seem to be a mixture of M. personata and M. thoracata...so since they looked good today, I took home 30, and will grab another 20 or so Thursday.

We also got in a bunch of Dario dario (AKA Badis badis bengalensis) and a nice batch of albino paradise fish, so I will have to scoop 6-8 of each later this week.

Nice fish! Did you have to get another tank or will they go into ones you already have?

Hey, how about leaving some for the rest of us...LOL.

Those are beautiful specimens...I've never seen the Megalechis before, so if you can, please give some details.

I have room in established tanks...and no room for more tanks.

Well, they are an armoured, Callichthyid catfish related to the Corydoras cats....the Megalechis genus was split from the Hoplosternum genus a couple of years ago.
