went to 4 different lfs this weekend looking for freshwater shrimp and finally found bamboo shrimp at a local petco.... very cool little guys... they made a home almost instantly... i was concerned about my current and getting flakes to the bottom so i just bought some shrimp pellets and let them sink down... the pellets bloom out when theyre in there for a few mins and the shrimp love em and eat em right up... cool little guys...

they are not really bottom feeders, and feeding off bottom in a long run is bad for them... they are filter feeder, just fyi, and they will need somewhat of a good current in the tank, thats normaly their resting/eating spot, and they do best in a planted tank, they will take your dead plants and build a home/nest somewhere, its neat
