Brother's Betta - Aquarium Advice

My brother got a red betta tonight,which he named captain He's in a 1 [acronym:5b42122eea="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:5b42122eea]? vase, and might eventually go into the community tank.

The betta may do well in the community tank, depending on what else is in there. In the meantime, tell your brother to keep up on water changes. If the betta does not go into a community tank, try to talk your brother into a 5 [acronym:2415b96eab="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:2415b96eab] tank with heater and filter!

I would second that. [acronym:8e946062c4="In my opinion"]IMO[/acronym:8e946062c4], your brothers betta would be so much happier and healthier in a 5 gallon or bigger with a filter and heater.

about moving him to the community tank...
would he be ok with 4 danios, 3 platies, and 2 rams?

I personally don't see anything wrong with him being added your community tank with the fish you listed.

I would suggest you do keep in eye on him for a couple of days to make sure he is comfortable and not getting stressed out or on the flip side, possibly him attacking others. You never know, all fish are different.

nay, not yet. If anything he'll probaly just move him to the 20 [acronym:3c8635968f="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:3c8635968f].
