Can anyone identify this fish for me??

I found this guy living with crayfish, guppies, shrimp etc in a local waterhole... Not sure what it is???

It could be;

Elassoma Evergladei (Everglades sunfish)
Steatocranus irvinei (a cichlid)
Orestias sp. (choice, looks close to shape of these)

Not sure from the picture, that's my guesses!

There is 3 of them... And they are all the black with white tips on their fins... Strange little things.. They are not much bigger than guppies.

I found them in a drying up section of our local river - in the filthiest water I have ever seen... I couldn't believe anything could live there but we found the guppies, crayfish, shrimp and these little fellas in there... We were originally looking for tadpoles!!

Everything we got from there is now thriving in our aquarium our crayfish shows no interest in them at all. He just does his own thing!!

Where do you call local?

I call the green belt west of London in the UK local.

Nice looking fish for a free find! Gives the tank they are kept in an interesting story.

It appears it's a carp gudgeon... Carnivorous apparently - so I think they will be exiting my tank soon...

Thanks Robin. You can buy frozen blood worms and things that will feed carnivores. Just ask for options from your local fish shop. You might also be able to buy a small fillet of freshwater fish from somewhere and see if they eat a chunk. Good luck with them anyway. If they drop some fry maybe i can pick a few of those up. It was a nice find anyway.
