compatability question

So I've done some research and i think i have a good idea of what i want in my 20 gallon tank. 7-8 neon tetras, 3 Nannacara anomala cichlids (1 male 2 females) and 4-6 cherry shrimp or other fresh water shrimp if i can't find them. these are all small residents so i think that they will be fine. i plan on doing lots of water changes. my tank is fairly decorated an I'm going to make 2 caves out of terracotta pots for the cichlids. any thoughts?
