First attempt at a cichlid tank

This is my first attempt at a cichlid set up. It's a 55g long. It's just been set up so not stocked yet. All help, hints and tips welcome.

Great start! I think the colors of the cichlids will be AWESOME against that hardscape.

Wow your layout is absolutely fabulous. The fish will love those caves. I agree with a dark background. Other than that it looks like you're well on your way.

Just a thought, can you add more rock in the stack for a little more hight?
