Fluval Flex setup

Santa brought me a Fluval Flex 9 this year so I thought I'd make a thread of everything I do with it and take pictures to watch it's progression! Yesterday I made a stand for it that fits perfectly since I didn't have one for it but it won't let me upload a picture of it :/ Going out today to look for after Christmas sales and pick up some plant substrate Click image for larger version

I've thought about the idea of a killi with some pygmy Cory's, but I'm not sure a killi would be good long term, also considering peacock gudeons, Mexican dwarf lobster is also a thought here they look really cool to me, any ideas on stocking here would be greatly appreciated because there is a lot to choose from haha!

Heres it on it's stand, I then filled it with a layer of flourite red about 1.5 inches deep and filled it letting it cycle around so the dust settles, the reviews online were right this was super dusty!Click image for larger version

I really like it, when I first filled it up the water pump was a little noisy but it was because of the air bubbles and now that they're gone, it's super quiet. The lights are really nice and have a lot of options. Good sized heater compartment in the back and it's a perfect little tank!

It's nice that they have an unusual shape. Broad tank view because of it.

Changed some water, planted the plants down, and added 2 new pieces of small wood just to get them soaking, just randomly added them in and it doesn't look too bad! I will be adding more plants and the like later on but this is it for now Click image for larger version
