German Blue Ram

He's been in the aquarium close to a month now. At least I think he's a he!

Very beautiful fish! I love my GBRs but can never get them to color up like that!

Thanks! I have a Zoo Med Ultrasun T8 fixture on the tank. It's supporting the plants and really brings out the colors. It's a warmer color and not as white as most people like. We've gotten used to the color. However I'm looking at upgrading the lighting to better support plants.

The local Petland and Petco both usually keep one in stock. If they don't have one they will order one. I try to go when the knowledgable employees are at work.

Two new LFS recently opened but I haven't had a chance to check them out yet.

It looks like a female to me! Black on the pelvic fins and a short all the same length fin at the top, any pink on the stomach? Can't see much from this photo although it can fade.

I just got my first baby German Blue Ram. I named him "Mo" and he is SO CUTE! So much personality!
