Got a Brichardi today

Picked up this little gem today. Not sure what variety.

Congrats...they are amongst my favourite cichlids, and really stunning when mature, with full colours and trailing fins.

dang how do you get pics like that!. mine when i come near enough to take a pic they go under their rock and they look ugly under there :'(. is that a female?

Someone posted that it is a female. I have no clue myself.
I took several pics maybe 20 or more just to get a couple that looked good. The beauty of digital.
I put the camera on a tripod and manualy set the focus. After you set everything up just sit still for a bit and your subject will come out of hiding. Tried several exposure combos. The automatic settings were giving me either over or under exposed images.
I then cropped the images. Cut out over half the image to make the fish big.
I was trying to get a pic of the Serpae when a Tiger kept getting into the viewfinder. Ended up with the image used in my avatar. A big part is just luck.
