Got a nice piece of DW today.

Getting the tannin (sp?)out of the DW was way faster than I expected. I have added it to the 75g tank I'm cycling. It will be interesting to see what it does to the pH.

I thought it was cool because is looks like and x-wing fighter from star wars.

The blue fuzzy things on the left are chunks of used filter I'm using to seed the bacteria. They are almost cleaned out now, the water is still a bit icky from them.

That is a GREAT looking piece of DW ... where did you get it? That's basically what i'm looking for ... a tall piece of DW that "stands up" more than lays down with a couple of branches / roots out to the sides.

Can you say jealous

A LFS called the Fish Den, here is the web site but it appears to be having issues this morning. I've been in there a bunch of times and this time walked back into a corner and they had a bunch of DW, slate, rocks, etc.

Couldn't pass up this piece.
