Harlequin Tusk Fish

Just added this morning. Its Australian. not Indian. Wow, a stunning fish. A very busy fish, he doesnt seem to impressed with my fuzzy dwarf lion and they are squabbling over food already. I thought the tusk was going to have a piece of him for taking his dropped food. My Snowflake hasnt reared his head since i put him in. Hes very active indeed. Anyone have experience with Harlequin Tusk fish.

Awesome looking fish! I am in the market for one for my 90g aggressive tank. Might wait til I upgrade to the 180g or 210g before I do though, hate to think of putting him in such a small tank and I have no intention of spending that kind of money on a fish to have him die.

Thanks. Its a truely gorgeous fish. I have him in a 50 Gallon so im worried now. He has a fair bit of swimming space as the Lion just lays on the live rock ( 6 kg) and base rock (5kg). The moray spends his time in the rocks. I have read opinions from 50 galllon to 250 gallon tanks. Maybe ill need to go to a 4ft. Cant go any bigger than 4 ft. I do have another 3 ft which he could go in on his own with less live rock and a thicker base maybe.
Hes about 13 cm now and seems content.

4ft. I wish i could go bigger but dont have the space. He will be the only swimmer in there. Ill put a second powerhead in when i put him in yo create good swimming current. Ill also put my snowflake moray and dwarf lion in. Thats all is going in the tank.
