Well it's one of my two dream fish zebra plecos are the other..I WILL get one one day  I got her as an exam treat since my results were good :D She's so adorable, she had been in the shop for a few months but they weren't for sale.. So I went to get a pygmy puffer.. They had none, plus the green spotted puffer would have totally ruled that out!! She has her own brackish tank.. I have only had her a few hours but why didn't I get one sooner they are so much fun compared to your average fish. Her name is Buttercup, named after the green powerpuff girl.. Also does anyone know which type of green spotted puffer she is they didn't have her scientific name? Here's some pictures, I hope you love her as much as I do!

sorry about your froggy:(:(:( i am starting to want a GSP

Very cute!! :) I have one as well and he is definitely my favorite fish iv ever had!! I could be wrong but as far as I know there is only one type of GSP, and the scientific name is Tetraodon nigroviridis.

Thank you, he's in a better place now, no point in him suffering. Just don't keep a gsp with other fish!!

Oh right, thanks!

Hey you got a really good looking Tetraodon Nigroviridis! Congrats :)

Those are some beautiful pictures you got there.

If you fell in love this little gal, then I hope you really do your research to take proper care of her. Most GSP never reach max 6" due to improper care.

She is one of the cutest fish I've ever seen. I know nothing about Puffer fish, but I'd love to some day. Great photos of her too.

I plan to get her a 40 gal to herself for my Christmas (believe it or not it's only 4 months away) and selling one of my smaller tanks, I am allowed to trade to a bigger tank but not just get a bigger one. She's only between an 1.5-2.5 inches at the moment. She's being fed a HQ frozen mix and snails so hopefully she'll grow to 6 inches. If you look at the second photo closely she has a white patch on her back.. it's fungus! So her tank temp is up and I put an aerator in too, I can't treat with salt since she is brackish and I can't treat with methylene blue since she has no scales.. Thanks for all the lovely comments! :D

That is the last thing I needed to see...haha :)

I think you may have just sold me on a Puffer species tank. Look at that face. How can you say no?

I'm so glad you're getting a 40gal. I read everywhere that they need 30gal minimum, but people do not realize how active a 6inch GSP need space. A 30 gallon is a really tight squeeze for 1 GSP. 40 is adequate and will keep her happy, but anything over 40 is great!
