Killies!

I got 2 killies today! I'm not positive what kind, but they are dull in color, and are a type of Fundulopanchax. I'll get pics, and you guys can help ID them.

Happy!

Great find - did you get them at the LFS? Mine never carry them. Post pics soon

Yah, they were at the LFS, and there were a couple different kinds. In hindsight, I suppose I should have written down what kind...

OK, this is one of the better pics I was able to get. I'll keep trying, and maybe get you a better one later.

congrats!! Hard to tell from the pic but it *might* be a green panchax or a golden wonder....

Aquariums are like jello - there's always room for more.

They are not rare, and in fact the American Flag-fish is a type of killie. They are just not often seen at your typical LFS and most are traded amongst hobbyists. Many are annual and don't have a lot of appeal to many fishkeepers for that reason, but not all of them are.

Well, we lost one of them. I'm not terribly suprised, she(?) didn't look as healthy as the other from the minute I added them to the tank. I've got the remaining one eating flake food, with frozen brine shrimp once or twice a week. I also got more pics.
