Well, almost unbelieveably, in the 10 short days he has been here, my new P. dolloi, on a steady diet of mysis and feeder guppies, has added a full 4.8cm (just under 2") to his length, bringing him to a hefty 21cm/8ľ" long....at this rate, he will exceed 14" by the end of January.

The P. e. endlicheri bichirs have also near doubled in size, now pushing 6" each after only 6 weeks.

A great testament to what a high-end diet and 95% water-changes every 3 days will do for young fish.

From his current size, I am assuming that he will put on a total of 7cm-9cm from Jan 15th to Feb 15th, too. First time I have had an African under 14"/34cm long, and I am surprised at this early growth-rate.
