Mimic Tang

Here is a Mimic Tang that I got from a local reefer. I believe it is a heralds mimic but could also be a lemon peel mimic, however it is missing the blue stripes that the lemon peels usually have (although they happen to both be Acanthurus pyroferus, just from different areas mimicking different angels). Not a very good picture (taken with phone as our camera broke today).

Still a juvenile and it should be fun to see what his coloring looks like when it has matured. Its about 3" right now.

Beautiful fish! I was window shopping them myself!

Good luck with him!

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

Yeah i like it. It seemed like a decent price too $25. most any tang in my area goes for $40 + the 3/4" blue tangs at my lfs go for over $50

Not a bad price at all, IMO the mimic tangs are very under appreciated in the hobby.
