Mixing live and fake plants

Hi guys, i recently acquired a live plant ( cant remember name :0) and wanted to know if it is ok to mix live and fake? I don't see problems, but idk... It is only about an inch high right now, i will show pics tomorrow.

Well, yeah i have a name that plant thread up right now do yeah.. Lulz

It's a small java fern. Take it out of the substrate and tie it to a decoration. It will rot if you don't. It will attach and you can remove the string. It is a very easy plant that is also an extremley slow grower so don't become upset if you don't see much growth.

Tie the root to the decor? I could put i on something, or put a hook inside to attach it to...
