Picked up some more sunset blushers off aquabid the other day. They shipped wednesday and arrived today.

ONe was DOA and the other died within a fe minutes of being placed in tank

Really glad seller sent extras

^ Drip acclimating them in a Marina HOB breeder box. Totally worth 15 makes acclimating a breeze!

^ and after about 45 minutes all the dirty shipping water is out and fresh crystal clear tank water is in.


Overall I'm happy with this purchase. This is the first time I've had fish DOA in a breather bag. Note though that these are not genuine Kordon breather bags.

Thanks, In a word slow. HAd a few setbacks but have a pair close to spawning.


Out of the ones that came today I suspect 4 of them are SSB and the other are standard gold

Yes, eventually, Trying to first get my strong SSB pair so i can sex them. Then I will acquire a proven male and female of the other breed to cross them together.

Can't say what I'm going for yet. (commercial breeders would have the drop on me as It may take up to two years from the point I'm at.)

It should be a awesome fish though
