Well I went to my first Society swap last weekend.
Some very rare fish there, from very colorful and designer plecos to dinner plate size discus. I ended up checking out the non cichlids at the cichlid swap.
Ended up with 15 locally bred tetras, 10 red eyes and 5 black neons for 10 bucks
All survivors even though it was practically freezing outside that day(coolers and hand warmers are the best) no signs of illness, QT'd for a week all ate very well and are holding their own
they are about 2" in lenght on the red-eyes and about an inch to an inch and a half on the black neons, they LOVE their new planted home.
Nothing special just some tetras but if anyone has a chance to go to a swap do it, best bang for the buck ever. 100 bucks can get you an entire set up with all gear AND fish. 100+g tanks were 50 bucks last weekend, next Chicago swap is the 26th of january.
Anyone from GCCA here?
That's not a planted tank. That's a jungle with glass around it- MFDROOKIE Circa 2011
