My "New" 75

Finally got the tank set up. Now the fun begins. I will have to switch out the plastic plants overtime but for now it is a start.

I recieved the tank from a coworker. It is an older tank. The tank was a custom built tank 15-20 years ago. It was originally a reef tank. The man that built the tank built a sump/filtration system in the end of the tank. The wood covers all the various chambers of glass used to build the setup. I was told that the system was very effective and performed flawlessly while in use. I thought I would try it before I spent the money on a cannister. It can all be cut out if I wanted the extra gallons of water for viewable tank use. The oak panel would then also be removed.

Is that driftwood in there because it doesn't look like it really?

All the wood is real. The darker pieces are pushing 10 years old, they are from one of my tanks in college. The lighter piece I just pullled from the creek last week. Had to have been there for some time, bark stripped off and all edges sanded perfectly smooth from sand and other substrate.

I think it is lovely, and I really like the oversized wood in there, reaching to the top of the tank. Very esthetic!

that wood would look awesome if you got moss or some other creeping plant on it! Nice tank!!
