Nice fish, i've always found the Golds to be the most aggressive of the Rams varieties - but if the tanks a good size you should be fine.

Is it possible for a color form of a fish to be aggressive or did you just have a pair of unusually aggressive rams.

Think it's down to breeding, so possible. I've kept numerous Rams and found the Gold to be most aggressive, followed by the Asian type GBR and long finned, then least aggressive is the so called wild caught German Ram - type in my profile pic on the right. So many different types coming out it can't be good, electric blue, pearl and the newest I've seen is a bubble ram.
