It's just a eduacted guess, but it seems like a 2 pounds of rock to 1 gallon of tank
water capacity cuts the water in the system in half. In other words a 100 gallon
tank with 200 pounds of live rock in it leaves a little over 50 gallons of water
in the tank.
This is just a rough estimate and does not include water in the sump.
