I got my shipment of LR today :)

Check out the links for pics. This was 20 lbs of Coral rock and 10 lbs of keys base rock. I can't really tell a differnce in the gulf rock vs the keys rock though :(

I am happy with the abundance of coral colonies but I wish there were more sponges ...

Zack at liverocks.com is definately a great guy and easy to work with!

Sorry for all the links but I don't have a site created yet and the pics are too big to attach.

Based on the coral rock pics that I saw, I am a bit disappointed but I might have limited myself by telling them I did not want any clams :)

I did get 2 sponges(I believe) so hopefully, they will make it ...

Check this pic put:

This is different FL rock and the round sponge has been in the tank about a month. Does it look healthy?

Hey
Thanks for the kind words! I hope it works out for ya, and thanks a lot for posting pics!!!! :D

Dusty it really depends on its density. If you have a dense 10lb rock it will displace less water than a rather porus rock of the same weight.

You meant the dense rock will displace more than the porous rock.

:D gotcha!! hehe

Hey
It's just a eduacted guess, but it seems like a 2 pounds of rock to 1 gallon of tank
water capacity cuts the water in the system in half. In other words a 100 gallon
tank with 200 pounds of live rock in it leaves a little over 50 gallons of water
in the tank.
This is just a rough estimate and does not include water in the sump.
