Hi Everyone

I've just got a new aquarium, my first one yay!, anyway I got 5 ghost shrimp along with my assortment of other fishy friends. I've noticed that my ghost shrimp now seem to be MIA. I'm wondering if any of you have experience with this.

The fish in my tank include: 5 tiger barbs, 5 albino Danios, 3 platys, and 3 aquatic frogs.

Is there a chance that they have been eaten? I don't think they were sucked up my filter or anything??

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am very new to this!

How big is your tank? What filter do you have? Hope they're OK, but IME ghost shrimp don't last long, as most stores carry them as feeders, not pets :/

I think their life expectancy isn't very long anyways but they do often become food. The frogs or one of this fish could have eaten them

Thanks for the replies everyone. Although I rarely see the frogs move out of their hiding spot in my plants I do suspect they are likely the reason for my shrimps disappearance.

I have a 20 gallon tank - not big enough for the shrimpys to hide I guess.
