Mystery fish

I got this fish the other day but i'm not quite sure what it is. I know, you're thinking "Wha-huh?" ; they said it was friendly and it looked interesting so I got it. It's a fast swimmer so the photo I attached is not that good (and the 60k file size limit doesn't help either).

my guess is a glass tetra? only thing i could find that even resembles it

I was thinking glass too, but I looked up the indian glass fish and the eyes on his are too black.

I know buying random fish is risky; I don't normally do that. It was $1 and it looked interesting (yes, i know, perhaps famous last words).

Is that picture an accurate depiction of the fish? Or is it not really see though? Also, what color is the finnage on it?

yes, it is see-through. it's hard getting a good photo 'cause he swims around so fast. the tail seems to have a bit of a red tint to it; the top and side fins seem to have a small black patch on them. He pretty much stays at the top of the tank all the time.

I'm gonna say a possibility of a black phantom tetra.
