Hi, I just set up 155 gallon tank that was purchased from Craigslist. Filled it up with water to find that it leaked so it is currently sitting empty after I stripped the silicone and resealed the entire thing. Anyways, the wife and I aren't sure what we should put in it. Currently we have a 54 gallon corner tank with a needle nose gar, senegalus bichir, red shoulder severum, geophagus juipari, black ghost knife, pleco, and a white lobster(crayfish). We are obviously fans of oddball fish.
Any advice on some new inhabitants?

The gar and the BGK should be moved to the new tank. A full grown BGK looks cramped in a 75g alone.

They are all rather young. The gar is the largest and is probably 7". The BGK is maybe 5". I realize they get large and will need something bigger, but without knowing what we are putting in the bigger tank I didn't want them to become food for possible larger fish.

Seeing as they are not that big yet wouldn't it be a good idea to move them? Unless you plan to buy full size inhabitants to the new tank there wouldn't be much difference.

It would make sense to get fish that are compatible with the BGK, gar, and bichir since those will be moved eventually to the large tank. Looking closely, I think the BGK is more like 4". I just don't want something to snack on him.
