Start off with the 40 gallon seahorse tank

I got another female seahorse (reidi) for my birthday. She was completely black when i got her and feeding very slow (had to turn the current off every time i fed). She is now turning more yellow and is eating very very well. I'll try to take a better pic tomorrow when my lights are on again. I call her stumpy since she has a very short tail, must have gotten injured somehow in the past. $75

Now the 28 gallon nano

Got this green acropora. They had a nice blue one as well but my friend working said they are harder to care for than the green ones and that he could give me a frag of his blue one sometime. The green one is doing great so far, i glued it to a rock where it has more flow. $69

These green duncans used to be $30 per head but have since dropped in price to $10 per head so i figured I'd get a couple. $20 total

New ricordea, saw the bright green mouths and had to get it. $30

Also got two new picasso clowns. Tried to take pics but I turned the lights off to reduce stress and they didn't turn out. Will post some tomorrow hopefully. $90 each.

And lastly the 260 gal tank

two new goatfish. One is eating for sure, other its hard to tell but is still looking healthy so must be eating something haha. Thought one died after a few days but found him in the wave box :) $30 each

Mandarin. She is very shy so far so i haven't gotten a great picture, she hides every time i come near with the camera. She is very large for a mandarin which is great for our tank and is also eating brine, mysis, and blood worms. $30

We also got an achilles tang today. No pictures since the lights have been out so I'm hoping tomorrow he will venture out so i can get a shot. He is beautiful and about 5-6 inches. $189

Hope everyone enjoys, I certainly am enjoying our new purchases so far!

I love the acro you have. It looks so awesome. The duncans are very nice as well.

Wow. So pretty. Jeez, I knew saltwater was expensive, but I didn't know how expensive. Maybe that's why dad said no saltwater. Lol.

They all look so pretty. Enjoy them!

Thanks I've been waiting for a nice acro to come in for awhile haha can't wait for the blue one!

And yes we have spent a lot in this last little while haha it's just so addicting! Luckily my dad likes the saltwater tanks so he contributes a lot.

I can't even decide which is my favorite! They are all so beautiful! I can't wait to see the clowns. :)

Excellent shopping trip!

Thanks! Here's a few pictures of the clowns...none of the achilles yet, hes still hides when i come near. These ones aren't the best, some kinda blurry.

The smaller guy ate this morning already, i will try again later and see if the bigger one will show any interest.

Achilles Tang pics

Finally i got some pictures of the achilles tang! They are not very good because i had to hide and try to take them from afar. He still hides when you get too close to the tank. On the plus side he is eating algae sheets, flake food, and even frozen brine, mysis, and blood worms.

what a beautiful fish i wish i had a big enough tank for one

Seahorse tank

Got a new seahorse, she is actually from the same batch that my birthday seahorse came from and was the last one. She had been at the store with two others for over two months, recently the two others sold. I felt bad for her being all alone, specially since seahorses are so social so i brought her home :). The owner sold her to me for 50% off since she had been there for so long. She was $40. It was very cute when she saw her sister, stared for a long time then immediately followed her around.

She is having some difficulties with my current but that was expected since she came from a tank with practically zero current. I have been turning the current off to feed until she gets more used to the tank and she is eating very well, better than my birthday seahorse.

28 gallon nano

Got a few frags for $10 each.

One is a fox coral.

The other is a red acan coral.

260 gallon tank

A red monti coral is the latest addition here. Not looking too overly red yet but we think it will bounce back nicely (our green monti is doing great). $65 i believe it was

Oh and we got the sebae anemone as well but that can be seen in my other post about its recovery (hopefully).

Omg you get the nicest stuff! LOL

I love the acan, I'm so in the market for one. :)

Love your stuff kelsey, makes me kinda jealous everytime I see your tanks.

Do youhave pictures of your dragonets btw? Kinda curious to see em. I'm getting the itch again hehehe

haha thanks Carey! I'm lucky to have such a good LFS, even if I only have just the one.

I'll get some pictures today of the dragonets, as soon as all the lights come on! I'll try to get a nicer one of the one in our large tank too, she comes out a lot more lately.

How big a tank do you need for an Achilles to live without being stressed out, always wanted one. But I'm always told they don't handle well

Thanks everyone :D I'll try to get some full tank shots uploaded soon (I'm uploading a video so my computer is being very slow)

I don't know the exact size of tank needed but I know it must be large, liveaquaria says 180. They are a very panicky fish, ours gets startled very easily, he's slowly getting used to people but sudden movements make him hide still. Ours currently has ich as well but is eating everything still (algae sheets, flake, and all types of frozen) so we are hoping his immune system will kick in soon (we are soaking the food in vitamins and garlic to help out). I'm afraid treating him will do more harm than good plus we would have to catch all the fish, not an easy task.

Here are the dragonet photos though

Scooter blenny in 40 gallon hex: I tried to get one of his fin but got impatient, you'll have to see the video of the tank for that haha.

Mandarin in 260: Apparently she is very camera shy, out and about when I have no camera but as soon as I bring it out she disappears

Mandarin in 28 gal: I'm debating removing the wrasse, I think he is out-competing her for food. She doesn't have the sunken belly yet but she definitely isn't as fat as my last one.
