another thing to consider is not all fish are reef safe

meaning some will eat corals and inverts

some are aggressive some are semi aggressive , some have not an aggressive bone in their body

some eat meaty foods , some eat greens
ect ect ect....

Picked up a baby Maxima tonight. About one and a half inch. Pics are 10 min after being introduced. Will get daytime shots tomorrow.

Nice shots. Gets better and better. Are you doing anything special for it? I was wondering if mine didn't last because I didn't feed it?

I fed the entire tank phyto but maybe that wasn't enough?

Thanks, man. I don't target feed them but I do overfeed my tank (evidenced by my big worms lol) with numerous types of food. It would probably cause everyone to gasp if I listed how much I feed lol. Seriously though I do use like 30 different fish and coral foods. Hence my OCD with over filtration :p

I've been noticing mine keeps burying itself

Mine don't bury but the shift constantly. The big one likes to shoot out a sandstorm too lol. When I was acclimating it the bugger shot water out of a 5 gallon bucket and made a four foot wide puddle.

My clam trapped a hermit crab tonight. After I took the pics it then "spit" it out and shot it couple inches away lol.

Here is where it landed.

Sorry to hear you lost your clam. I lost a Crocea last year and losing animals is always tough.

Can't wait to see the SPS tank!

Update of my Tuxedo Urchin eating algae off of ol clammy. Several of my gobies have made it the "water cooler" of the tank.
