Well I decided to try my hand at 2 female bettas, but when I went to the store to pick them out, I found the most beautiful female betta, then 3 others that looked like they were about to die! It was sorta sad, algae growing in their cups, they were just sitting there, all drab and brown, so I bought 4 of them, not entirely having that much space but I figured I'd make do. Sooo, I have a 2.5 gallon that I've been wanting to stock for a long time, so I put 2 of the females in there and 2 in my planted 10 gallon. So far so good, they seem to be getting along just fine and my arrangement is working out great. They've colored up to be some amazingly beautiful little fish. Anyways, without further ado, here they are. Not the greatest pics, but you get the idea, and they are really hard to get to stay still!
The Lady in Red - very onery and active
Big Blue - she's got some really amazing color, but a little spot on her mouth that worries me, I've started
treating with some fungus meds.
No name yet - still hoping she will color up a little more, I took my chance that she wouldn't stay drab brown, and she is starting to show little sparks of color here and there.
R&B - Cause she is red and blue and really cool looking. A almost navy body with bright red fins.
The newly renovated 2.5 gallon tank, which resides 2 of the betta ladies.
Thanks for looking!
