new fish

Just bought some new fish today.
I got a blue snail, a pearl snail, a gold gourami and 8 ghost shrimp.
Man the ghost shrimp are so cool.
Whis I could post pics but no digital cam yet.

oooh!! Cool. Gold Gouramis are very pretty. Wish I could see pics of the snails they sound pretty.

Is this your first time with ghost shrimp? The first time I had ghost shrimp, I was mezmerised for days, sitting in front of my tank and just watching them. I still do that, but not as bad as when I first got them, lol.

Don't get too attached to your ghosties... they all have a big sign on them that says "FOOD" and they tend to disappear when you're not looking.

What did you pay for the ghost shrimp?

Yes, if you are getting shrimp I would stick tot eh ghosties as if they become a snack it generally isn't too costly, unlike Amano shrimp.

Yes this is the first time for the ghost shrimp.
I also sat in front of the tank and watched them for about an hour..lol
They are SOOOOO cool!!

Gold gouramis are my favorite of the bunch I think - especially when they display. Their fins get such a rich, deep gold. Watch when you feed, they are absolute pigs. Mine break the surface of the water getting to the food, as if they think this will be their last meal.
