New SW stuff

Got me another staghorn hermit crab. Hopefully this one does better than my previous 2 I had a couple of years ago. Just tried one this time. Got better lighting this time around (3x150 MH & 4x96 PCs). Tried the previous 2 with 4x65 PCs, but I don't thik it was enuf light for their coral/shell. For those who didn't know, this shell grows like a coral and needs sufficient light. Trying another gorgonia too (purple one below) since another I had for 4 or 5 months is doing fine too.

Congratz on the pick ups...I would be a tad concerned about that blue hermit showing too much interest in the staghorn....

Yeah. So did the new red leg hermits. All seem friendlier today. They were all new, but since they've found the rocks to explore.

Pretty neat. I read some on the staghorn, but can't remember much. Do you have to buy bigger shells, or do they grow with the animal?

Nice shots also!

They grow with the animal. It's really coral on their backs.
