My new Fluval Spec III is in the mail! I'm going to use it for a betta tank and because it is small, I would like this tank to be the first tank that I attempt to "aquascape." I want a nice piece of drift wood to put in there but as far as plants and substrate go, I honesty have no clue where to start. I want plants that are easy with minimal maintenance, and NO CO2. Thanks A Bunch In Advance!

I have a planted tank w no fert or co2. I just pulled out most of my wisteria bc it was growing so much. I'm still new to aquariums but everything I've added has worked well with just good lighting. I have a finnex planted plus led light. I do get a little algae but other than cleaning that up you can't beat the low maintenance. I got both pieces of driftwood from petco and added seachem purigen to clear up the tannins.
