New tank for Bazza

Our tortoise (in Australia SW are Turtles ie flippers not feet, webbed or otherwise) severly outgrew the tank he/she was in so today we went and looked for a new tank.

We ended up with a 48" x 16" x 20" high with a cabinet. Heating is 150W in total, they only need 22 deg C but being summer here the heaters won't kick in at all. I'll get a 300 W from the internet. Filtration will be upgraded too, just need to get some Fluval 404 parts then it will all be sweet. We used 25kg of 9mm pebbles as substrate.

It could have been worse. We were seriously considering a 5ft X 1.4 ft x 2ft drilled tank, cainet and sump filter(.......... ouch$$$) then transering Bazza into the 4X2X2ft that the ARLC's are in now.

My partner thought that Bazza might be lonely so we ended up with a larger tortoise as a tank mate. Bazza is the smaller darker one in the photo.
