How about the kind of food I can give them I am giving them cichlids pellets the mini ones

Ok. I use the floating type in the tank. For WC's I just use my hands. I do have a liquid thermometer my girl uses when she does the WC's. Click image for larger version

I run all Fluval filters. A 205, 306, and 406. I only use the 4 sponges on the intake side (in the red tray) then all biomedia in the gray trays and filter floss in the top tray. You should be fine with what you have in your setup.

Cichlid pellets are good. How old-what size are the fry ?

I hope everyone recovers from this. I have dealt with ich before and it isn't fun. Luckily it didn't advance and all of my fish were fine (this was years ago already)
