Nouveau Nandids....

Picked up a pair of Polycentropsis abbreviata for the sweet price of $5 yesterday...they look just like this chap:

Very nice! Is that a fish that can spit above water to catch prey? I don't know the name of the fish that does that, but it looks like the one you just got.

I checked it myself yesterday in a book I just got on labyrinth fish and saw what it was. Thanks for the info though Psyhampster.
But my collisa chuna (honey gourami) spits as well! I've seen him do this to reach a flake that hung against the glass above the waterline. No joke! Pretty neat to watch. I'm really getting into the labirinth-fish, and will be getting more once I have more space

That is a neat-looking fish! I see what youronlysin means -- that's what I thought too! It does look like half a fish, maybe because the tail fin isn't big.
