Oscar sick? fin going white / clear

The fins weren't like this when I got him. Tanks fairly new and his top and back fin seem to be losing color Click image for larger version

That's normal new growth. If your setup is new and filters not cycled properly , with not enough filtration, and only a 55 gallon (a 75 gallon at least would be better), with the Oscar ONLY in it, then you are heading for eventual problems not far down the road.
