Hi, so I'm new to this whole aquarium thing. I have a few guppies that I think are pregnant. Can anyone tell me if they are pregnant? And if so how long it may be before birth starts?

Yeah she looks pregnant. Guppies like all livebearers give birth around once a month so have a backup plan for all the babies.

It’s safe to assume that guppies are always pregnant. If they were ever exposed to males as adults, they will have babies for months even if the male isn’t present after the first couple of days of them being together. Your guppies do appear pregnant, you’ll probably end up with a lot of adorable little fishes!! Good luck!

Do you have a test kit and know about the nitrification cycle?

Also make sure to put a prefilter sponge on the intake HOB filter, or the babies can get sucked up.

Having babies in a smallish tank is difficult and needs lots of dedication, but most likely another tank for babies.
