Hello! I am a new fish parent and I have a one gallon tank with a twin tail half moon betta(Pablo) and a yellow mystery snail (Sid). Pablo seems to have a slight case of fin rot, but I've read forums with pictures and Pablo seems to be at the beginning stages and I'm worried D:
I read "Melafix" would fix and cure fin rot. But, Sid is my issue. And aquarium salt may be a solution ONLY if I find Sid a separate home.

1) Should I relocate Sid while I treat Pablo?
2) Should I use the Melafix? If not, what should I use?

Hi, how is he doing? imo I'd go for a larger tank - 5gal if you can or double. Much more stable and better to prevent issues.

I would get a slightly larger tank as well. 2-1/2 gallon minimum. Medicating the fish can't hurt, just remember the required water change(s) afterward. Melafix is good or erythromycin.
