Today is my dog's first birthday. (Yes not fish related, but it'll get there I have to build the suspense!). Yesterday my mother and I went to the PetSmart outside the mall to get him some presents, i.e. a stuffed snake and a giant rawhide. While my mom was checking out I was snooping around the betta selection. All of the bettas had clean water and were very active-I was happy
. I saw one that caught my eye, like they do. I was watching him swish back and forth like 'I'm super sexy and you want to take me home with you" and he looked a lot like Fitzwilliam my baby (has the same mouth). I didn't, however I did get a coupon for $3 off
Skip to today. I woke up this morning to find my buddy of 4 years dead. Fitzwilliam, my friend, the fish I went to when I switched from middle school to high school, the fish that I had complained to, talked to, loved was gone. I cried. I was planning on him living for a good 3 more years and we would spend the good days in college, at least through freshman year! He had went from ammonia full bowl to tank to tank to his own 8g tank.
I knew that I saw that betta for a reason at the store. I went back and spent $1.06 on him. Here is Spurk!
