TetraPlant Complete Substrate

Regarding substrate for my planted tank I have decided to try the new Tetra plant range of products. So I have just purchased TetraPlant Complete Substrate 5.8kg. Will this cover a 36 inch long tank?

Also Has any one used it before?

And how do I use it. lol I think that I put that at the bottom and then normal gravel over it?
