Used tank came with fish, have several questions.

Boy, I just scared myself to death. I was doing a pwc on the tank and did notice when refilling that I had the water temp too high. I happened to look at the thermometer and quickly changed the temp of the water coming out of the siphon. I hope I didn't do any permanent damage to the fish. The water was 5 degrees warmer than I had intended it to be.

So far everything seems okay but I won't feel good until I see everyone alive and swimming in the morning.

Siphons make water changes much easier but it it also easier to make a tragic mistake.
