what do tank conditions to cicihlds like to live in

Not to sure just as I'm getting tank with stand but don't need stand as got on all this is off a mate and some one les wants the stand and said I cam have some cicihlds fry for the stand didn't ask what type as didn't no much about them sorry of lack if info

Yeah. There's old world and new world cichlids. To give you info we need to know what size tank it is to give you options.

I'm thinking of doing new world dwarf... gold, electric blue and German Bolivian Rams. Not sure which yet but I'm in process of setting up my new 40 gal. Any info on those would be greatly appreciated thx
