just realized I didn't take a pic of the lion.... I even had him in a bucket all by himself. (thatll be tm's goal) As for today, its been pretty crazy since getting home. As hoped, my package was sitting on the porch when I got home. it was complete with 1-4 stage BRS rodi
unit, 10lbs of reef saver rock (dry), and 2 felt filter socks. idk why, but for some odd reason, I was picturing the BRS rodi
units to be a bit smaller. this beast has some decent weight and size to it lol. after some brainstorming and thought processing, I got the rodi
unit installed and plumbed into place. I wanted to put a t-split in my cold water line but I don't have the tools to do so, therefore I used the included garden hose hookup to connect my unit to a very handy service valve. I did actually by some brass fittings to attempt to connect everything in the same spot but quickly gave up after several failed attempts to seal the leaks. also ran the collection tube down behind the utility tub, and into the 30g collection bin I bought. after connecting everything, the instructions prompted me to run the unit for an hour before collecting any water (which I did). then I set the pressure to 65 psi and my girlfriend, son and I headed an hour northeast to Elmers Aquarium store. after some discussion and looking, we decided that we needed to get a sand-sifting bottom dweller in the tank before any other fish are added. I left the final decision up to the girlfriend, well we came home with a banded dragon goby, which I must say, is a pretty awesome lil fish. upon getting home, I tweaked the rodi
unit a bit. all in all it was a great day. the new clown we got is holed up behind the skimmer. hes still eating and swimming so im going to leave him alone for now. alright I think that sums up the day. now time for some pics!
